The Certified Fraud Examiners Course was presented by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) Philippine Chapter with the cooperative efforts of the Commission on Audit (COA), Office of the Ombudsman (OMB) and Department of Justice (DOJ), and with the generous supports of the United States Agency International Development (USAID) at the COA Professional Development Center Auditorium.
Over fifty participants from the Commission on Audit, Office of the Ombudsman and Department of Justice have successfully completed the course. They are now considered as the first batch of “fraud fighters” in the government sector.
Present also during the said event were the COA Commissioner Hon. Heide Mendoza, COA Chairperson Hon. Grace Pulido-Tan, Truth Verifier Systems, Inc. President Conrado G. Dumlao, Ombudsman Hon. Conchita Carpio-Morales, Chief of Party Integrity Project and Managing Director for International Affairs and Trade of USAID Ms. Jacquelyn Williams-Bridgers, Mission Director of USAID Gloria Steele, and the President of ACFE Philippine Chapter Ms. Lilian S. Linsangan.
Meanwhile, Conrado G. Dumlao is the founder of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners Philippine Chapter. His advocacy to combat corruption in the Philippines has paved the way to branching the ACFE International in the country.
