Private Eye to DoJ: Make Polygraph SOP in Investigation

As the Vhong Navarro-Deniece Cornejo-and-Cedric Lee saga continues like a telenobela nearing its climax with the sudden appearance of a certain Roxanne Acosta CabaƱero claiming to be another rape victim of the Mr. Navarro, the public was left wondering who is and is not actually telling the truth.
This could have been avoided if government investigation agencies including the Department of Justice (DoJ) had made polygraph test as part of the standard operating procedures (SOP) in their investigation.  A polygraph or a lie detector test when conducted by a competent and experienced polygraph examiner is one of the most powerful, robust and useful scientific tools in criminal investigations and personnel screening. By using a polygraph, it may discourage anyone from concocting a story and using mainstream and social media as an avenue.
According to Rosario Dumlao Nulud, Chief Executive Officer of Truth Verifier Systems, Inc. (TVSI), “nowadays, lying seems to become an acceptable fact of everyday life as long as the person can justify and get away with it. But with modern technology, it can now be detected with the use of deception-detecting abilities of the polygraph or lie detector.”

TVSI is recognized to be the country’s Number 1 Company when it comes to commercial lie detector and private detective services. It is awarded by the Philippine National Police (PNP) as the Hall of Fame Best Private Detective Agency and is an ISO 9001:2008 Certified Company.
“This is a typical example of one man’s words against another. We all know that in many cases, different people have utterly different versions of the same event. By using the polygraph, it can set an alarm to check the credibility of a person’s statement.” Nulud added.
While lie detector is generally perceived by the public as unreliable, there are studies to show otherwise. Though, the issue of its admissibility in court will depend on the wisdom of the judges, government institutions like the DoJ has the discretion to allow or disallow its use in their investigation. TVSI offers its quality detective and investigation services by using a state-of-the-art technology to aid any institutions in their search for truth.
